During setup when I click "I see it", the cuff disappears into the area under "Library" in my inventory. When I try to ctrl-drag it to the ball, either the ball won't let me drop it (gives me the "no-entry" locked sign) or I crash.

Are you using the RLV (RestrainedLife Viewer) or related viewer (e.g. Cool Viewer with RLV turned on)?

Several avies have experienced additional bugs in RLV that can cause your setup to crash, or that can move your inventory in unintended ways.
You are strongly advised to do the setup, and this workaround, in the regular SL Viewer, at least till the RLV is fixed.
After setup, you can login into RLV if you wish.

You can't drag or drop the item from the bottom of your inventory into the Yellow ball. This is caused by a new SL bug that causes the item to go to the bottom of the inventory (i.e. parentless, without a parent folder), and to be undraggable or undroppable.

The workaround:

1. After you click "I see it", the cuff or gag disappears. Look for it right at the bottom of your inventory, below the Library folder even.

Now, do not drag the cuff or gag - this might crash you.

[EDIT] Instead, copy the gag or cuff (use ctr-c or rightclick and "copy"), then paste it ("ctr-v" or rightclick and "paste") into the "! LULU Signature ... Boxed Set" folder. WARNING: Do not paste into your Object folder. Here's why. If you have the sigGag v.4, the folder is "~ LULU sigGag v.4 ... Boxed Set" folder.

(Mac users: cmd-c and cmd-v OR cmd-click to "Copy" and "Paste")

If right-clicking crashes you (some users of Cool Viewer, or RLV have this problem), then try left-clicking and selecting ctr-c to copy, then ctr-v in the Object folder to paste.

2. Once in the Objects folder, are now safe to proceed normally. (Just ignore the copy of the cuff or gag at the bottom of the inventory).

3. Now ctrl-drag the cuff or gag from the Objects folder into the ball as usual. Rinse and repeat for each step.
