1.  TRUE TAMPER-PROOF LOCK

A toy's lock is as good as the security behind it. When a Dom locks a sub, he or she needs to be sure it stays locked. This is the closest thing to being in RL bondage.

    ☻ LULU REAL KEY
        - Sub's owner keeps a physical key for extra security.
        - LULU Signature toys cannot be unlocked without a pre-coded physical key.
        - Yet a key-holder has to be on the sub's authorized owner list to use the key. Double-security.
        - LULU Real Key behaves like a real-life key --> you can't use it if you're too far from the sub. Or if you're not facing her.
        - But no matter, you can use the key to order her over automatically. Again, without permissions.
        - (LULU Real Key first seen in the Lulu Signature Gag in 2006)
       
    ☻ NO-RESET. Why is this a good thing?
        - The simplest toys can simply be hacked by a clever sub by resetting the scripts. This deletes existing variables (owners, locks, alarms etc.)
        - LULU's Signature toys are NO-MOD (but you can still resize & color them) and are thus completely immune to this type of hack.
       
    ☻ NO-EDITING OF PRIMS. Why is this a good thing?
        - Some toys preserve variables (i.e. owners, locks, alarms etc.) in the prims themselves - commonly in the Name or Description field.
        - A clever sub can always edit the Name or Descritption field of a toy that allows MOD permissions.
        - Even if the variables are encrypted, they can be deleted, and then the entire scripts reset (see NO-RESET above), and everything is wiped clean again.
           Or worse, some earlier ecrypted variables (e.g. from an unlocked state) can be copied over and the sub has effectively reset the lock.
        - Lulu's Signature toys are NO-MOD (but still resizeable & colorable) and are completely immune to this type of hack.   
       
    ☻ NO SCRIPT-HACKS. What is this?
        - Any toy that has MOD permissions will allow a clever sub to drop listener scripts to intercept and even modify variables like locks and alarms.
        - RestrainedLife viewer: if you can drop a script in your cuff to make it compatible, you can drop a script in to completely undo it after the Dom/Domme has gone.
        - Even encrypted messages CAN be easily circumvented, by the sub simply copying the encrypted internal messages and replaying them later without having to know the encryption password.
        - LULU's Signature toys are NO-MOD (but still resizeable & colorable!) and are completely immune to this type of attack.  
       
Because LULU Signature toys use a physical key, and they are NO-MOD, you will have the highest security lock in SL, as compared with modifiable toys like LULU PLUS and BASIC.
How to know whether you have a modifiable toy? If you can drop a script in, it is modifiable.

2. DETACHING A LOCKED TOY?
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ 

Unlike real life , in SL, a sub can ALWAYS detach a toy (whether the script has it "locked" or not). This is part of the safe, consensual environment of SL. But it's not good for bondage players - you need to know your locked toy stays locked in place! To workaround this, LULU uses the following systems:

    ☻ RE-REZ
        - The moment the toy disappears from the world, the LULU Security system kicks into action and a fresh toy is rezzed and immediately pops back onto the sub.
        - There will be no blue "permissions" dialog box asking the sub for permission, which is commonly required before an object is allowed on.
        - Within a few seconds, sub is locked again. Escape is futile!
        - A locked sub stays locked. This security feature is unique to LULU Signature gear.
       
    ☻ GUARANTEED IM ALARM. But aren't all such "detaching" IMs guaranteed? No.
        - The way SL scripts work, tattle-tale IMs are NOT guaranteed to fire in time before the toy disappears from the world.
        - If they can't be fired in time, they will sit in memory as "unsent mail" and will fire upon the next rez (when sub next wears the toy).
        - But LULU Signature toys are GUARANTEED to fire EACH time, ON TIME, because it works in combination with the separate Signature Command HUD .
   
    ☻ HOVERTEXT ALARM.
        - A hovertext alarm is triggered on the toy, showing the number of breaches.
        - Because LULU Signature toys are NO-MOD, a sub cannot drop a simple llSetText() script that erases the hovertext alarm.
       
    ☻ RLV COMPATIBILITY
        - Signature Cuffs and Signature Gags are compatible with RLV, right out of the box.
        - Because LULU Signature toys are no-mod, they offer an even higher level of restriction, as the sub cannot happilly drop in scripts into the restraints to undo the viewer lock on her command. Or an interceptor script that issues an "unlock" linked message to the cuffs, which then issues the appropriate viewer unlock command.

3. GETTING THE SUB TO WEAR THE TOY. NOW.

Usually, the Dom says something like, "Now sub, wear your gag." And the sub spends a few minutes rummaging through her 15,000-item inventory before she wears the thing. If she's in the mood. Otherwise it might take even longer (or forever!). LULU Signature security system solves this little problem by:

    ☻ WEAR-ON-COMMAND.
        - Dom issues a command (or clicks the menu button).
        - LULU Signature toy is immediately rezzed in-world and snaps onto the sub.
        - The sub will NOT be asked for permission to wear (via blue dialog menu), as is normally the case in SL.
        - Dom's will is immediately imposed on the sub. Simple. Effective. Now.
       
    ☻ NO NEED TO GO INVISIBLE.        
        - Invisible toys are a great idea to simulate the unworn state. But ctrl-alt-T shows them up, and besides, for many, the feeling is not quite the same.
        - When the Lulu Signature system, the sub doesn't pre-wear any restraints. She is TRULY FREE. Until her owner decides otherwise, of course.
        - Her heart sinks as she hears the sounds of the restraints closing in on her. As if she is cuffed for the very first time, each time. Mmm.

4. DOES THIS MEAN A SUB IS OPEN TO ABUSE?
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬         

There are the odd moments when we have an abusive and hurtful Dom, or an absentee Dom that doesn't login anymore. Is the sub doomed?
No. Because in the LULU system, the sub is allowed to reset her owners. This resets all locks as well. Think of it as a guaranteed safeword (as in RL, a safeword is a MUST!).
This also prevents griefers from having any sort of permanent control over the sub, even if the sub gives "ownership" to a stranger.

BUT: For certain toys, there is a LOCK-DOWN mode (requires the sub to attain a certain level before this mode can be accessed - so subs do NOT have to reach this level if they don't want to) wherein the sub CANNOT reset her owners (and locks etc.) via the normal means, when and if she is locked down.  But this choice is entirely up to the sub - not her Dom/Domme.*

BUT BUT: Even in the LOCK-DOWN mode, the sub can go to "Fingers", a shady bot in Lulu's Secret Warehouse and pay him to activate a one-minute window for the sub to reset owners (and automatically, all locks). Fingers' prices vary over random periods - it can be very cheap, or not so cheap. So the recovery option is there, but because there is a cost (L$ and time and risk of missing the one-minute window), the sub is quite unlikely to make resetting owners a regular habit.

*For those who don't want to give up control but would still like to progress to higher Circles, they can either (1) be entirely self-owned, and use the toy's Promiscuous Mode (e.g. Signature Cuffs) to let others play with her, or (2) assign an owner, but have an alt as another co-owner. This way, you are protected without having to look for Fingers, though the flavor is not quite the same.

5. CONCLUSION: THE SUB STAYS LOCKED. THE WAY BONDAGE SHOULD BE.
