Gag garble/IM (RLV) settings explained

These only apply if the sub is using an RLV-enabled viewer. Otherwise the gag menu will not show the relevant buttons.

Default setting: no outgoing IMs.

- the idea is that once gagged, the sub should be prevented from talking, whether in chat or in IMs.

Garble Loose: no outgoing IMs except for sub's owners and friends.

- the "garble loose" feature is unlocked once the sub has attained the Circle of Novice. The sub's owner will see a new button in the "garble" settings on the gag menu.

-  the idea is that when the gag is somewhat loose, people who are close to the sub will be able to understand her ramblings. These would be her owners, and friends on the IM Exception list (sub's owner can add friends on the gag menu "other..." > "RLV options" > "IM-except...").

Garble Tight: no outgoing IMs

- the "garble tight" feature is unlocked once the sub has attained the Circle of Novice.

- It is the same as the default setting, which is no-IMs at all. The IM Exception list will not work.

- the idea is that a sub who is gagged tightly will not be intelligible even to those close to her.

RLV options

Additionally, the sub's owner can turn off the RLV no-IM option on the gag menu: "other..." > "RLV options..." and uncheck the "No-IM" box. If the sub is still an Initiate (i.e. below the Circle of Novice), this is the only way to enable IMs.

Lulu

IMs to Lulu Ludovico will always work, for support reasons. However, No-IMs do apply to all groups, including Lulu's Designer Club.
