Why do emotes trigger the talk alarm?

Most emotes are fine (e.g. those that denote body language - e.g. "/me nods" or "/me smiles"). These are genuine emotes.

However, some emotes are treated as cheating. These include anything that are proxies for speech - e.g. "/me thinks... " or "/me wonders...") as there is no way for the listener to know what the sub is actually thinking.

Bugfix: If you are using gags v3.22 and below, there is a bug that will treat the following valid emote as cheating: "Jane's eyes widen", even though it is a valid body-language emote. Either update to the latest version, or  avoid using the passive-form (e.g. Jane's head hurts; Jane's calves are aching).
